Privacy screen at Lührmann
WENZEL had the task of affixing the logo and privacy screen in a Munich office. Water played a decisive role in the process.
Dear readers,
About a year ago, we had to complete a highly interesting wrapping project in the heart of Munich. At the Lührmann company, which had recently moved, the clear view of the reception area from the transparent elevator shaft was to be covered and the company logo added. In addition, a glass room divider had been installed in one room, which was also to be given a privacy screen.
Glass decorative film: 230 cm x 160 cm in size
The first (minor) challenge was to position the 230 x 160 cm decorative glass film (usually also known as frosted glass film or frost film) - and to do so in a very small space, if possible without affecting the customer's workstation. So that not everything has to work at the first attempt, we opted for wet bonding (see also our bonding brochure). This involves applying a special liquid to the surface to be bonded after it has been cleaned of dust and grease so that corrections can be made - the film can therefore be moved back and forth a few centimetres in order to adhere to the edge (even if the silicone is slanted, for example).
Logo simply on top
After applying the film, the water is pressed out of the sides with a large slider, and after a short time the film sticks for good. Then it was time for the logo. This was to be stuck onto the decorative glass film - no problem. After taking precise measurements and consulting with the customer, we got to work.
Privacy screen for the office space
Next up was the privacy screen in the office. Here too, wet application was the best option. After cleaning the glass walls, we applied the special liquid mentioned above to the surface and then pushed the decorative glass film to the desired height. Again, we simply squeezed the water out of the sides and the film was in place, the conference room and the office were now clearly two rooms.
If you also have a project for us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
