Loud acrylic at the "Ampere"
When acrylic glass gets loud, we're in the game. In a Munich disco in the Muffatwerk, we supplied the decoration for the bar, which was to be reminiscent of the graphic representation of loud and quiet sounds.
"Acrylic glass, 5 mm, fast, please."
The Friese joinery acted as the interface between WENZEL and Apere. They had the challenging task of printing and contour-cutting 21 5 mm thick acrylic glass panels in 3-4 days. This deadline could not be postponed due to the opening of the Amperes.
Acrylic glass with contour cut
So we got to work as quickly as possible. In the first step, we completed the first batch of plates after correcting the data and then forwarded the prints for milling/cutting. The design of the plates was to be reminiscent of the graphic representation of music, i.e. peaks, peaks, highs and lows, etc.
Extreme caution was required during transportation
As we cut some narrow bars out of the individual acrylic glass panels, we had to be extremely careful when packing and transporting them. Some of the protruding parts were quite long, which made them correspondingly fragile. However, the trips to the Ampere were carried out by the Freise joinery, which did a great job as an intermediary between WENZEL and the Ampere. The team gradually drove out the finished panels so that the hard-working helpers could complete the assembly on site themselves.
Everything went well once again
In the end, it was a close call as the deadline drew ever closer and the machines and helpers were working at full speed. In the end, however, everything went well and the Ampere was able to report a successful opening evening. Including appropriate decorations on the bar and walls.
