Freed motifs for textile printing

14/Mar/2018

We have a real innovation to celebrate in the area of textile printing: we can now also print free-form motifs on T-shirts. Previously, this was only possible with "square" motifs within the limits of the DIN A4 format. Now, however, colored shirts are possible, and the motif can also be round or similar.

T-shirt printing with unusual motifs

What is possible now? Pictures say more than a thousand words. Just browse through the photos in this article. You will see that even unusual motifs can now be applied to textiles without any problems, even with finely tapered or highly playful ornaments.

The T-shirt printing process

The procedure for this type of textile printing is a little more complicated: first we print the desired motif - mirror-inverted(!) - on a film. To ensure that the white areas are really white (eyes, clouds, etc.), we press the printed film onto another film that provides the desired white. We then roughly cut out the motif to remove any white residue and achieve a perfect print result.

Double pressing for brilliant colors

The design then lands on the T-shirt and the first pressing process starts. Then we remove the film from the design - ready? Not yet, because another final pressing process is required to ensure that the print lasts. Customer care also has an influence on the longevity of the print: put it in the washing machine "inside out" and, if possible, wash it at low temperatures to guarantee long-lasting enjoyment.

Other possible textiles and data delivery

But of course it's not just T-shirts: pants, gym bags, baby bodysuits - we print on (almost) everything. Simply get in touch with our experts and we will check the feasibility of your ideas. Ideally, you should provide your data as a PSD (Photoshop) file. A vector graphic is also fine. Also possible, but with additional costs because we have to intervene in the file: JPEG.
