Labeling & gluing 2017
WENZEL once again had a number of signage and wrapping projects in and around Munich on the agenda in 2017. We look back at three highlights and also report on a new project from the past year.
Dear Readers,
Lettering and decals are our specialty. We are often on the road in and around Munich and deliver high-precision results with our fitters(see also photos to browse through). One of our three highlights that we are presenting today was the lettering at adaptant, a start-up from Munich.
Lettering made from acrylic letters
21 cm high and 5 mm thick were the acrylic letters that we were allowed to install as lettering at the software specialist adaptant (see photos). First, we backed an acrylic panel with black and turquoise foil. Then the individual letters were laser-cut to an accuracy of a tenth of a millimeter. The lettering was easily done using a stencil made from the excess acrylic. You should never throw anything away. A very nice project that we remember with pleasure. The detailed article on this job in Munich can be found here.
Photo wallpaper: 18 square meters
The commission from the Museum of Man and Nature at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich (see photos) was less of an inscription and more of an adhesion. The motto of an exhibition was "In the light of the seasons" and showed the palace park in bloom in spring, in full bloom in summer, slowly "coming to rest" in fall and in snow and ice in winter. We supplied printed panels and the photo wallpaper + installation. A total of 6 x 3 meters of photo wallpaper served as "lettering" on the presentation wall (see photos). The detailed article can be found here.
Covering a carpet with a race track
The "TexWalk" material is ideal for covering felt carpets (see photos; contour cutting is possible, lettering with individual letters is conceivable). This property helped us to turn a dull presentation room in Munich into a real eye-catcher where people feel comfortable. With the help of this material, we managed to cover the entire room with a "racetrack", a total of 30 square meters. The advantage: the material is very easy to dismantle and leaves virtually no adhesive residue. We also supplied the adhesive film for labeling the individual stations, which were "walked" by the participants during a workshop. Photos and the detailed article can be found here.
Stickers at the Munich AIDS service organization
Our job at the Aids-Hilfe in Munich could also be described as "flowering" rather than lettering (see photos). We were entrusted with the task of embellishing the wall with purple adhesive decorative elements. "Routine", you might think, given the numerous projects we have presented this year here, here and here. However, it was a little tricky because there was a cable duct on one wall about 1 cm away from the wall that could not be moved. But with a great deal of dexterity, we mastered this challenge too. The result is impressive.
Conclusion: We carry out lettering in and around Munich precisely and at an attractive hourly rate with efficient, fast and yet precise implementation.
