Acrylic letters at Focus Einrichtungen
Dear readers, we were able to show a large part of our service portfolio at the "Focus Einrichtungen" interior design company: On the one hand, the laser-cutting of letters from black acrylic glass. On the other hand, the assembly of these letters as lettering.
First step: Lasering
What was particularly nice about this order was that we were able to use the relatively rarely ordered but very elegant acrylic glass in black (see photos to click through). This material is very elegant and enhances a room, provided it is used in a targeted and discreet manner, as was the case with our customer Focus Einrichtungen. In this case laser cut the approx. 10 cm high letters from the large panel. We were able to achieve clear corners and clean edges, which is not possible when milling due to the wide milling head.
Second step: Apply adhesive film to the back
After lasering, we prepared the letters for gluing to the wall. We attached adhesive strips to the back to make the letters adhere to the wall. This is the adhesive or adhesive tape that we used to attach the GalleryPrint-rails, so it holds firmly. We only applied small strips so that the letters would come off again at some point.
Third step: Assembly
So that the assembly To make assembly quicker, we laser-cut a "negative" of the lettering into an acrylic glass to use as a template - divided into four puzzle pieces. This allowed us to create a straight edge and align all the letters with the spirit level - a great relief. For the time being, we fixed this template in place with masking tape in case we needed to make any changes - and that's how it turned out. Our customer didn't like the first position as we had imagined, so we moved the templates and letters a little, and that was that. We then removed one letter at a time, peeled off the adhesive film and finally put the letter in its place. Once a "piece of the puzzle" was finished, it was removed and the lettering unfolded its impressive effect.
If you also have a challenging project for us, we look forward to hearing from you.
Yours, Matthias Wenzel
